- Dwayne Johnson may be cooking up a political career
- The Rock as he’s popularly known, said he was considering running for US president
- He might battle it out against President Donald Trump in 2020
Wrestling star The Rock (Dwayne Johnson), seems to be cooking up a political career if the smell wafting from his locker room is anything to go by.
The former WWE superstar, according to The Sun, last week at a Los Angeles event said he was considering running for US president in the next elections in 2020.
“Johnson has previously teased a potential presidential bid, and his latest comment on the subject suggests his interest might be real. I think the ‘Peoples’ President’ has a really nice ring to that,” said the paper.
Whether The Rock would run to unseat President Donald Trump remains to be seen, but pundits believe he has a reason for talking about the subject regularly.
The Rock, according to US newspapers, has started an organisation, “Run the Rock 2020,” which is registered officially with the Federal Elections Commission to drum support for him.
Well, who knows, he may be tweeting President Trump’s worst nightmare come the polls.
