Kanye West reportedly decided to not see his children over Easter as he believed they would be better being with his wife Kim Kardashian. The 43-year-old rapper has been staying at his ranch in Wyoming and has left Kim, 40, to be the "caretaker" of their four children.
While Easter may have been a time when the family could have reunited, Kim took the kids on a vacation to Palm Springs with the KarJenner clan at her mum Kris Jenner's mansion there.
A source close to the Kardashians told Hollywood Life that the reason why Kanye had not joined them on the holiday was "because Kim has been the main caretaker. He’s focusing on his Yeezy’s and his music right now and those are the reasons as to why he wasn’t there.”
Kim and Kanye have been living separate lives as their divorce continues to move forward. Keeping Up With The Kardashians star Kim has been living with their children - North, seven, Saint, five, Chicago, three, and Psalm, one - in their $60 million mansion in Calabasas.
One of the big events of recent Easter holidays has been Kanye's Sunday Services gigs with his choir.
These have now been "suspended" due to the coronavirus pandemic but he has reportedly had a private, scaled-down version for him and his friends.
The event is said to have been "really private", with the source adding: "It’s not like [what] he was doing before, because he didn’t have lots of people.
"It was exclusive and his people only, all because of Covid. He’s not doing them in the same way they were before where they’re being promoted and shown.”
In fact, Kanye's fans have not seen much of the Sunday Service project since divorce proceedings started.
Kim had been a huge supporter of the project, often sharing videos on her Instagram Story as she and the kids got involved. The source said that now "Kim’s not involved at all. It’s different."
