Nigerian artist OG Jamal has his eyes set on the Kenyan market due to the popularity of Afrobeat music in the country.

Real name Adeniyi Adebayo Jamal, the Lagos resident and accounting graduate from the Lagos State University says he’s inspired by artists from Nigeria and East Africa. “I admire Diamond’s business-mindedness, Khaligraph Jones’ tenacity and Nyashinski’s unique sound and style,” says OG Jamal.

After releasing All In All and Kosere, OG Jamal collaborated with Kenyan singer DM Safi in Acha Niende released on January 17, 2021. “Working with DM Safi was unforgettable and I love the sound of Swahili- it’s so romantic. I’m planning on collaborating with more artists from Kenya and East Africa at large,” said Jamal.

In an Instagram post he shared 21st January 2021 the enterprising personality cryptically posted an image of a huge two-storey crib under construction, while he posed. He captioned, “It's 2021”. Jay has been known for his high-rolling lifestyle, hanging with the likes of his fellow Kenyan-Dream ballers Kevin Obia, Jared Otieno and politicians such as Babu Owino.
