Diamond Platnumz's manager Hamisi Shaban Taletale alias Babu Tale has, for the first time opened up, 45 days after his wife Shamsa Kombo Tale, died on the morning of June 28, 2020. In a post seen shared on his Instagram account, a video of his late wife goofing around their living room as she walked away was uploaded.
He went on to caption the video saying that it has been 45 days since she passed away, and he still feels like he is living in a dream.
"RIP my wife ???????????? Ni 45 days tangu umeniacha Mama TT nahisi bado nipo kwenye ndoto, (It has been 45 days after you left us Mama TT, I still feel like I am dreaming)" wrote Babu Tale.
Reports indicated that the Shamsa passed on while admitted in the ICU after she had developed breathing complications from an asthma attack. However, unverified reports from a family member suggested that the deceased had been battling other major complications that saw her get admitted in the ICU.
It was believed that the mother of four had been responding well to treatment until her body grew weak and gave in as she breathed.
"She died between 12:00 and 12:30am. She was in ICU after throat constrictions. We got the news at 6:00 am on Sunday. Before her admission to the ICU, she had malaria, she also had ulcers. She was ok but her health deteriorated," Babu Tale's brother, Abdu Tale divulged.
As she was popularly known, Shammy was laid to rest according to the Islamic religion on Monday, June 29, at Mkuyuni in Morogoro, Tanzania.
News of Shammy's passing was made public by, among others, Diamond's mother, Sanura Kassim, who took to social media to commiserate with the WCB manager's family.
"The wife and mother to the kids of WCB manager Babu Tale, Shammy, has passed away early this morning. We send our sincere condolences to the family and friends of Babu Tale during these trying times and we pray to God that He may give him strength," she wrote.
About three weeks ago, Tale, who is also a co-founder of Wasafi Classic Baby (WCB) Wasafi music label, picked nomination papers from the Chama Cha Mapinduzi's (CCM) offices in Morogoro, kicking off his journey to parliament.
In his message to Babu Tale, Tanzania's music star Diamond Platnumz said that he believes in Tale's leadership skills. He is sure that he will do a good job for the Morogoro people and assured him of his full support as he ventures into politics.
"I have no doubts with your leadership because I believe that if you managed to lead me, Wasafi and all other artists who came before us and they all did well, then Morogoro will be safe in your hands. Wasafi family and I are behind you to ensure that we support you to bring development in Morogoro together with President John Pombe Magufuli," wrote Platnumz.
