Award-winning South African artist Sho Madjozi has officially been signed to Sony Music Entertainment Africa, a wing of Epic Records in the United States.
The Gqom artiste rose to prominence with hits such as Huku and John Cena. She was among the opening acts for Beyoncé and Ed Sheehan at the Global Citizen Concert in South Africa last year.
The Best New International artiste at the BET Awards last year has also achieved numerous scores on Netflix original series Blood & Water, as well as Queen Sono.
“African artistes are enjoying an unprecedented level of visibility in music and Sho Madjozi is beautifully waving the flag for South Africa. She’s bold, brilliant and remarkably talented and her music embodies all that is special about her homeland. We’re honoured to have her as the newest member of the Epic family,” said chairman and CEO, Sylvia Rhone.

Sho joins the roster of Travis Scott and Future at Epic Records. While at Sony Music Entertainment Africa she will link with fellow superstars Davido, Shekhinah, AKA, D’Banj, Sha Sha, and Kwesta, among others.
