Decorated with a lineup of the biggest names in the gospel industry, the Kakamega Bukhungu stadium is set to come alive today thanks to a New Year concert organised by award-winning celebrity Rufftone, a show that has been endorsed by the area governor Wycliffe Oparanya.

“We thank the County Government of Kakamega for supporting us to put together this function and in particular our governor Wycliffe Oparanya who has given us every assistance we have asked for to ensure we have a successful concert. It will be an annual show and all are welcome,” said Rufftone.

The extravaganza will feature among others gospel acts Evelyn Wanjiru, DK Kwenye Beat, Daddy Owen, Krystal, Sukuma Bin Ongaro, Ole Willy, Pastor Timothy Kituyi, Hopekid, Fidel, Slejj and Otezzy as well as Rufftone himself. Besides it being a New Year concert, it will be a celebration of Rufftone’s 20 years of music ministry.

Kicking off at 9am today, the bonanza will showcase the rich traditions of the region with sports, local entertainment and an assortment of indigenous cuisine being showcased. The climax of the event will be the midnight fireworks and celebrations that will go on till dawn.

“We are very excited about this show. We have seen people travel all the way from Nairobi to attend this event,” Rufftone told MondayBlues.
