It was a long night for 10 sheep traders whose two lorries got stuck after a section of the road linking Naroosura to Ewaso Ng’iro was cut off by floodwater, marooning them.

They were airlifted to safety by the Narok County Disaster Management team yesterday after the Kenya Red Cross Society raised the alarm.
