Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko, flanked with other county officials have come out to explain why the County Government has came up with the ban on matatus from accessing the CBD.
Through a gazette notice, the Nairobi County Government is baring matatu’s from accessing the central business district as from Wednesday.
The move, according to the Governor, is to decongest the city centre and make movement around town easier.
The ban of matatu’s from Nairobi CBD has been met with a lot of criticisms from the public as they feel the move is ill and will only worsen their commuting plights.
