- Chiloba held that the commission conducted free and fair elections
- Chiloba addressed the issue of the leaked memos and said that all the questions have since been addressed
Under fire IEBC Chief Executive, Ezra Chiloba appeared for the first time after The Supreme Court of Kenya nullified the commission’s presidential results.
In the live TV interview, Chiloba maintained that the move by the Supreme Court to annul the elections was not just as the elections were free and fair. He admitted that despite their being a number of illegalities, they were minor and would not have affected the final result.
This has not gone down well with Kenyans as they descended on the CEO with attacking comments calling on him to resign and allow a new person carry own with his duties at the commission.
On the leaked memos from the commissions chair Wafula Chebukati to him, Chiloba said that they have exhaustively been addressed and that the chair is now having an understanding of how things happened.
Chiloba said that all the allegations about the conduct of the commission have since been addressed.
