First Lady Margaret Kenyatta cut a lonely figure this morning as she braved the cold to cast her vote at St Mary’s School.
The reserved wife of President Uhuru Kenyatta stood in line with other voters patiently waiting to vote despite the morning drizzle. The President on the other hand is expected to vote at Mutomo Primary School in Gatundu.

The choice to vote in different locations is a far cry from their show of unity during the 2013 general elections where the couple both pictured in Gatundu as Uhuru cast his vote.
Kenyans have expressed their reactions to the show of humility by the First Lady
Mama you just have a way of stealing my heart again and again. I fall for your humility everyday. Your such a role model

She is so real and natural. That is why I like doing her stories and support her initiatives. Breaking barriers. Can the dolls we have do it
