Mzee Ojwang will not only be remembered as an actor, but as a legend that touched the lives of many through his acting. The news of his passing also reminded Kenyans that celebrities also need assistance from fans, family and friends.

Fellow actors, comedians, singers, radio personalities, politicians and ordinary Kenyans all gathered to give the pioneer of Kenyan comedy a befitting send off.

Among those who eulogized the late Mzee Ojwang is comedian Churchill who said how he learnt comedy from him during his days as a young boy.

Churchill went on to say that he always followed Mzee Ojwang on Vitimbi and was always thrilled by his acting skills and command over his roles which greatly inspired him.

He urged his fellow celebrities to borrow a leaf from the late legendary actor and continue the legacy he left behind.
