With the world population at 7.9 billion, we have more than 2.7 billion video gamers from all over the world. Many gamers prefer PC games for various reasons; including affordability. Today, we take a look at some of the thrilling PC games released in the first third of 2021.

The Medium

This is a psychological horror game played in third-person. It was developed by Bloober team and is set in post-communist Poland in 1999. With an intriguing story, a surreal setting and a road full of puzzles to decipher, you take on the role of Marianne, a medium who can travel into the spirit realm.

With her psychic abilities, she is able to talk to ghosts and this is well-captured in the game with its split screen presentation of Marianne in the normal world and spirit world at the same time. Although taunted as a game rife with bugs, bad ideas and hollow when it comes to gameplay, the medium is nonetheless an amazing game to check out.

Blue Fire

Blue Fire is a challenging and brutal gauntlet of 3D platforming puzzles. It is a wonderful blend of action, platforming and contemporary influences. The game features a haunting world, where you will have to slash through your adversaries as you encounter peculiar survivors while you explore the Penumbra world.

Not only are there difficult Void puzzles to get through, but the actual world surrounding these Void puzzles can be difficult to get through as well. Between finding gall of the different collectibles such as weapons, tunics, key items and more, and making your way through the game’s multiple platforming-based locations, there is a good chance you will eventually get stuck.

Persona 5 strikers

Persona 5 Striker is an action role-playing game; a crossover between Koei Tecmo’s Dynasty Warriors franchise and Atlus’ 2016 role-playing game Persona 5. It is set half a year after the events of the original Persona 5. The game follows Joker and the rest of the Phantom Thieves of Hearts as they investigate a series of mysterious events involving people across Japan.

This new game swaps its signature turn-based combat for combo-driven hacking and slashing. It feels familiar in that you still call on personas to cast spells, exploit the elemental weaknesses of your enemies, and explore elaborate, otherworldly dungeons.

Iron conflict

Iron Conflict is a real-time tactics game featuring tanks, artillery, fighter jets and more from the Cold War to the present day. Players can customise these units with accessories and modules, and put them into formations to wage battle against their enemies on the ground and in the air. It features over a hundred classic armed vehicles dating back to the end of World War II. Each unit serves its own role based on its real-life counterpart, including reconnaissance, assault, air strikes and long-range support.

It Takes Two

It Takes Two is an action-adventure video game with elements from platform games. It is specifically designed for split-screen cooperative multiplayer, which means that it must be played with another player through either local or online play. The game features a large number of game mechanics from various video game genres.

Loop hero

This single player endless RPG game begins after the world has ended, with the introductory dialogue explaining that an evil lich obliterated reality and all the things in it. The hero awakens in a small camp on a path and sets out to try and rebuild his world. Along the way, he encounters other survivors who either assist him in trying to reconstruct the world or who, in despair, consider it lost and attack him in an effort to further their own survival.
