Zari assures Shakib of her love amid Diamond drama

South African-based Ugandan socialite Zari Hassan has taken to social media to assure her husband, Shakib Lutaaya, of her love and pleaded with him not to let insecurities ruin their beautiful union.

Sharing her message via Snapchat in a short letter addressed to her husband, the reality TV star stated that she chose Shakib over every other person who showed interest in her, and therefore, he should be content and proud to be by her side.

"To my husband, I chose you over everyone. Own it and be proud of it," she wrote. Zari went on to ask Shakib to avoid being insecure as it might end up ruining what they have. "Don't let insecurities ruin what we have. With love, Mrs. Lutaaya."

Zari's sentiments come a few days after the mother of five took to social media to address her baby daddy, Tanzanian superstar Diamond Platnumz, over claims that she wanted to have another child with him.

It is said that Diamond made these remarks to dancehall artiste Fantana on the just-released second season of the Netflix reality series, Young, Famous & African.

In the lengthy rant shared on her social media, a displeased Zari told off Diamond, dismissing his claims as lies.

"You appeared on an unscripted show and lied about me. You fabricated stories about how I want to have children with you and how I'm obsessed with you. Who do you think you are that I, Zari the Boss Lady, would be obsessed with you? You will always be part of my life because of our children, but not in the way I have welcomed you thus far. You are cancelled, and if you disagree, let the court decide."

"I don't need you. I have a fulfilling life with or without you. The last time I checked, the entire East Africa didn't know you until I introduced you to the scene. I was already a successful millionaire, driving Porsches, owning properties, and being both intelligent and beautiful," read the post in part.

According to Zari, Diamond can be with whomever he pleases as long as her name does not come up and his partners respect her position as the mother of his children. She added that she is neither interested in him nor desires to have any more children with him.

"You can engage in relationships with whomever you please without involving me in your bets. I don't want you, and I am not obsessed with you. In fact, it's the opposite - you seem to be the one obsessed with me and unable to find a replacement. I expect nothing more than mutual respect," she stated.

Before this squabble, Zari and Diamond seemed to be on good terms, constantly being spotted spending quality time with their children.

Zari ended their romantic relationship back in 2018 over infidelity but has continually worked on their co-parenting relationship, which has improved tremendously since their split.
