Nairobi Senator, Mike Sonko’s Rescue Team made a grand start to serving the people by offering free wedding transport services to a couple on on Saturday.
Sonko came up with this initiative early January to help young people in Nairobi County who wish to wed, but have no sufficient financial capabilities to foot wedding expenses.
The flamboyant Senator took to his Facebook page and shared photos of the free fleet of limousines and other classy vehicles he’d given out.
In his Facebook post he says, “Considering the burden most marriages come with, Today Sonko Rescue Team offered out free fleet of wedding limousines that has 3 H2 Hummers, 4 gold plated Mercedes Benz and gold plated land cruisers. Feel free to contact us www.sonkorescueteam.com in your next event.”
This has been regarded by many as a constructive initiative that will help young couples find it affordable to have a wedding ceremony in the city.
The generous senator had on Saturday recruited 150 youths from Kibarage village in Kangemi to his rescue team. They kicked off their duties by cleaning home drainage systems and pest control measures in different parts of Nairobi.
