The third Spider-Man movie will be called No Way Home, it's finally been confirmed. After Peter Parker actor Tom Holland and his co-stars teased fans with a series of fake titles, the real one has been released. And fans have also been told that the film will be released during the festive season.

A tweet from the official Spider-Man account revealed: "This, we can confirm. #SpiderManNoWayHome only in movie theaters this Christmas."

Tom also shared the news on his Instagram page along with a video.

He was seen walking out of director Jon Watts' office to join Zendaya, who plays MJ, and Jacob Batalon, who plays Ned, to tell them: "He gave us a fake name again."

As Tom said he "didn't understand" why Jon was lying to him about the name, the others pointed out the amount of times he's famously accidentally leaked Marvel spoilers in interviews.

"I think it's pretty obvious, you spoil things," Jacob teases.

Tom tells them: "Name one thing that I've actually spoiled."

"The last movie," Zendaya responds.

Then as the Spider-Man theme tune plays, they walk past a white board with a host of names written on it, but in the centre and in much larger writing, the words "Spider-Man: No Way Home" are there.

The movie will be called SpiderMan-NoWayHome.

Last night, Tom had pranked fans by sharing that the movie would be called Phone Home.

Sharing a still of himself and his co-stars, as well as a logo with the name, he wrote: "So excited to announce the new Spider-Man title. Can’t wait for you lot to see what we have been up to. Love from Atlanta."

But at the same time, Jason shared that the title was Home-Wrecker and Zendaya suggested it was called Home Slice. The new Marvel movie is a sequel to Tom's other Spider-Man flicks Homecoming and Far From Home

It's rumoured that former Spider-Man actors Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire will be returning for the new movie in a multi-verse storyline.

It's been suggested that Kirsten Dunst will also be coming back as Mary Jane Watson and that Emma Stone will reprise her role as Gwen Stacy.

And to add even more excitement, there are rumours that Alfred Molina will be back as Doctor Otto Octavius and Jamie Foxx will return as Electro.
