Unfortunately, their romantic moment was interrupted when the 32-year-old fell 650ft over rocky terrain. Thankfully she landed in a carpet of snow which broke her fall, Bild reports. Her 27-year-old boyfriend tried to stop her from disappearing over the edge.

In doing so he also slipped off the mountain and fell just under 50 feet. Through sheer luck, he managed to cling on to a rocky ledge until help arrived.  A spokesperson for the local police said: "The two of them were enormously lucky.
