Miss Tanzania 2006 Wema Sepetu has denied claims doing rounds on social media that she is at Muhimbili National Hospital, Dar es Salaam, after being attacked by goons for snatching a husband.
Speaking to Global Publishers, Sepetu set the record straight and affirmed that she is in perfect health and nursing no wounds from the alleged attack at her residence said to have been engineered by a jilted wife.
Sepetu explained that she is safe and going about her business as usual and reiterated that the reports are falsehoods, peddled by individuals on social media out to injure her reputation.
A statement supported by her manager Neema Ndepanya who also shrugged off the allegations.
According to the reports, the wife, who identified herself as Situmai Tambwe, was arrested after the attack and confessed to hiring the goons to attack Sepetu.
Tambwe, in a statement, allegedly fished out messages of Sepetu and her husband, corroborating her belief that they were having an affair.
“Anamtumia mes eji mume wangu, nilipofuatilia nikagundua huyu Wema ana mahusiano ya kimapenzi na mume wangu, ndipo nikachukua namba ya Wema Sepetu na kumpigia ili kumuonya aweze kuachana na mume wangu, lakini akawa ananijibu jeuri na matusi ndipo nikachukua maamuzi hayo,” she is quoted saying.
The statement, according to authorities, has no basis and is fake.
