NASA leader Raila Odinga on Monday led his supporters in migrating from Safaricom to Airtel, the contry’s second largest service provider.
Raila’s migration came on the same day that Safaricom dealers warned that livelihoods of at least one million Kenyans would be directly affected if the opposition boycotts Safaricom products.
The Safaricom Dealers Association said that they were already starting to feel the pinch of the boycott and said that their memebers were bound to make loses due to the boycott call.
The NASA chief migrated at 4pm as he visited the Airtel store along Koinange Street accompanied by a host of NASA leaders.
Last week, NASA coalition listed Safaricom, Bidco and Brookside as some of the companies whose products and services they wanted their supporters to boycott. The coalition accused the companies of aiding the subversion of the will of the people.
