There was drama in a popular Mombasa hotel after a politician from Western region locked a hooker, he had solicited sex from, in a hotel room and took off without clearing a hefty bill.

The two had checked into the hotel on Saturday, hours after midnight, and were reportedly served with food and drinks from their room. Our source from the hotel described them as having been in a jovial mood as they checked in the hotel.

However, early in the morning, the politician is reported to have excused himself from the hotel, saying he was rushing for a crucial meeting and that he would return shortly.

However, the management was alarmed by the female partner about 11am, Sunday, when she called from the room claiming that she had been locked in the room and that the politician had run away without paying her the Sh10,000 they had agreed on. The hotel bill was Sh45,000.

The hooker's problems worsened after the hotel decided to detain her until the cash was paid. The rest is history.
