CHUKA: Bible Translation and Literacy (BTL) has finally translated the Bible into Chuka language.
Speaking at the Chuka PCEA church, Justus Mugambi, a BTL official based in the town, said it was great news for Chuka people.
Mr Mugambi said BTL was collecting, studying and analysing the words based on their pronunciation and meaning.
“The words are arranged alphabetically, given a brief definition and their pronunciations simplified. This dictionary will act as a reference for translators,” said the BTL official.
He said the translation involved various steps before it was brought back to the community for review to ensure its accuracy.
