Correction: Orengo did not issue referendum ultimatum to President

By Standard Reporter | April 20th 2020 at 12:00:00 GMT +0300

Yesterday in the Sunday Standard, we reported that Siaya Senator James Orengo (pictured) had issued an ultimatum to President Uhuru Kenyatta demanding a referendum to be held immediately after the Covid-19 pandemic.

We have since established that this is not true.

We take this earliest opportunity to apologise to Senator Orengo and to put the record straight.
