Standard Group Plc Partners with Kenya National Union of Teachers to allow teachers to access Standard content
The Standard Group Plc has forged a partnership with the Kenya National Union of Teachers (Knut) to allow teachers access a subsidized educational content through its digital platforms.
Part of the agreement will see the more than 300,000 teachers access the Standard e-paper products daily at a negotiated price of Sh20.
This means that teachers will be able to access all daily and weekend editions of the Standard newspaper, The Nairobian, and also read Pambazuko, Mt. Kenya Star publications.
The Standard is Kenya’s second-largest national newspaper and the flagship product of the Standard Group.
Its reach cuts across all market segments with loyal readership among a cross-section of the Kenyan population, with niche products especially popular among Kenya’s youthful population.
Pull-outs such as My Health, Pulse, Financial Standard, Sunday Magazine will also be accessible to all the teachers at a subsidized rate.
Also through online, teachers can access all the content on television platform ie KTN Home, KTN News, BTV, and Farmers TV.
Knut secretary general Wilson Sossion said the agreement is a major boost for teachers who are presently at home.
