Ruiru, Kenya: Drama unfolded in Ruiru when three suspected carjackers were arrested by the public and made to repent of their sins before being bludgeoned to death.

The suspects had carjacked a motorist but their mission failed midway when residents were alerted to the incident.

The suspects’ passionate pleas to members of the public to spare their lives and instead hand them over to the police fell on deaf ears as the angry mob bayed for their blood, saying their 40th day had arrived.
