Global landlords and property owners’ association congress to be held in Nairobi

Kenya will this December host an international congress of global landlord and property owners’ associations.

Officially called the International Congress for Global landlords/Property Owners Associations (ICGLPOA), the event will be held at Kenyatta University from December 4th to 6th. The congress is the first of its kind in Africa.

The event is organised by Urban Landlords and Tenants Association of Kenya (ULTAK).

“We look forward to inspiring global best practice in the coordination and forging of cooperation with the most experienced residence ownership welfare organisations globally,” said ULTAK/ICGLPOA secretariat in an invite.

The body said the organisation of the congress was done working closely with other landlords’/property owners’ organizations from the neighbouring states such as Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, Burundi and South Sudan.

Those expected to attend include property owners, homeowners’ associations, real estate developers, property agents, property managers and their associations, land surveyors, builders, architectural associations, and manufacturers of building materials.

“Participants will gain the momentum they need to optimise their property operations and elevate their business. The more than 40 sessions will reveal how to create efficiencies, build asset value, engage and retain occupants, incorporate new technologies,” said a statement from the secretariat.

Already, several global property associations have confirmed their attendance of the event held under the theme of “establishing a global partnership network and celebration of International Property Day”.

The Standard Group is partnering with ULTAK for the global congress.
