One Kenya Alliance principals have vowed to remain united even as they are enticed to back either ODM leader Raila Odinga or Deputy President William Ruto’s camps.

Speaking in Naivasha during a church service at AIPCA church in Kinamba, the leaders maintained that they would stand united to the last minute.

Speaking to the congregation after the church service, Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka termed as lies reports in the media that Raila and Ruto had offered them deals.

“We are one thing, it was reported that OKA principals are being sought by others to support them, we tell them as OKA we are the ones to welcome the others to join us,” said Kalonzo.

The former vice president was reacting to media reports that Raila and Ruto had reached out to the four luminaries with enticing offers such as the prime minister’s post, campaign refunds and Cabinet positions for any of the alliance members.

The OKA group has been keen on picking one of them to be the flag-bearer in the 2022 presidential election race that has largely been viewed as a two-horse race between Ruto and Raila.

Kalonzo, ANC leader Musalia Mudavadi, Kanu chairman Gideon Moi and Bungoma senator Moses Wetang’ula have all declared their intentions to succeed President Uhuru Kenyatta but resolved to back one of them in an arrangement that is being worked out.

Yesterday, Kalonzo questioned the opinion polls that have put Ruto and Raila as the leading contenders, terming them as questionable.

“These polls are sponsored by the same politicians who want to lie to the country that they are more popular than others and this is all lies and must stop,” he said.

Kanu chairman Gideon Moi called on Kenyans to elect a person who can be trusted with their lives and future in the next elections.

The Baringo Senator questioned the credibility of some of those seeking the top positions in the upcoming elections slated for August next year.

Addressing the congregants, Gideon called on the voters to listen to all political leaders before making their decisions.

“Many will come to you and they will make promises. Listen to them and as you make that decision, ask yourself if the leader you will elect is trustworthy and will he guard your family and future?” he said.

While reiterating their unity, Gideon said OKA would change the face of the country and the economy if elected into office.

“We are keen to make education in the country free of charge and we are calling on the church to continue praying for this country,” he said.

Ford-Kenya leader Moses Wetang’ula said that they will back one of their own and not other leaders as alleged.
