The newly constructed Wakulima Market along Kangundo road, Nairobi, will be opened by President William Ruto in three weeks, Governor Sakaja Johnson has announced.
Speaking when he toured the market today, Mr Sakaja promised to resolve dispute on allocation of stalls.
He said traders operating at the parking lot outside the market will be allocated stalls.
“Immediately after the opening ceremony, stall owners will elect their officials who will be responsible for the management of the market, including running the amenities like toilets and parking,” Sakaja said.
The governor noted that offices of the area MCA and Ward Administrator will also be accommodated on the market.
