KENYA: Ambassadors of Arab countries in Kenya have condemned the terrorists’ attack at the Westgate Mall.

Envoys from Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Yemen, Libya, among other Arab nations, said the attack was an affront to all religions in the world.

“The act of terrorism and the unwarranted attacks against innocent civilians is condemned by all peace-loving nations, as it is against all religions and moral values,” said Saudi envoy Ghorm Said Al Malhan.

They expressed solidarity with the Kenya Government in its fight against terrorists.

Terrorism menace

“It is to be recalled that Arab countries have suffered at different times from the menace of terrorism, and pledge to work with all governments of the world and international organisations in relentless efforts to combat it,” Al Malhan said.

The ambassadors said they had been following with great sorrow and concern the terrorist attack on Westgate Mall last Saturday, which claimed the lives of innocent Kenyans and foreigners and injured several others.

They conveyed their condolences to the families of the deceased and wished the injured a speedy recovery.

The envoys reiterated their support for the people and government of Kenya.
