Disability not inability: Radio Maisha and Lotto Joto gift Sammy Brayo from Juja

People living with disabilities may have every reason to feel disadvantaged and approach each day feeling sulky. However, some choose not to; instead they surround themselves with a lot of positive energy, and beat all odds to achieve their dreams in life.

Sammy Brayo from Juja is one such man. Despite having no arms, he is a multitalented motivational speaker, artist and singer.

Brayo was surprised with a laptop, canvas, and paint brushes by Lotto Joto on November 9, 2018. The talented artist is one of the beneficiaries of the community oriented lottery focused on empowering the individual through winnings and fundraising for local communities.

He was discovered on the Radio Maisha #Konnectshow hosted by Mwende Macharia and Clemmo and was gifted with tools that would empower him and help him grow his brand through the show’s philosophy, ‘Jijenge Jenga Mtaa.

“We found out about the multi talented Sammy Brayo on Radio Maisha #Konnectshow with Mwende Macharia and Clemmo. One of his many talents being drawing,we decided to surprise him with a laptop, canvas,paint brushes- tools to empower,enable,grow and monetize his talent based on our philosophy; #JijengeJengaMtaa,” read a Lotto Joto Facebook post.

A happy Sammy thanked the Lotto Joto team for providing tools that will help him take his career to the next level.

“ I am very happy and humbled by Radio Maisha and Lotto Joto for coming through for me. I did not have art material or a laptop to edit my motivational videos; now i can do all that. May God increase you,” said an elated Sammy.
