Mary Njoki is the founder and CEO of Glass House PR. Her company was named Africa’s Top 40 under 40 Women Leaders 2017 by Amazon Watch Magazine, she also won the Young African Women Leadership Excellence Award by Centre of Economic and Leadership Development.

Growing up you wanted to be a…

A computer scientist.

 If my parents could have their way, I would have been a pharmacist or nurse.

 Which college/university did you attend?

Daystar University and Graffins College.

 What did you major in?

Business Information Technology, Communication and PR.

 Any classes skipped?

I did not play truant in college but was forced to in the university. I did that because I was running my business. I ended up dropping out.

Your worst class was

Graphic design. It has never been my strength.

 Passing exams meant….

I would study by writing short notes and going through them days before the exams.

 Your best campus experience was?

Making friends and meeting new people each semester. I love networking and meeting new people.

 Dating experience…

I did not have any dating experience while I was in campus.

 What did you hate about campus?

The long lectures. They took up so much time.

 If I could go back to college and turn back the hand of time…

I would have paid more attention to some subjects. But thank God for Google, one is able to learn more.

Used to work as a data entry person in a college. I became an entrepreneur when in university where I would attend part time classes.
