LG appoints new managing director for Kenya

Electronics manufacturer LG has appointed Janghoon Chung as its new managing director in charge of East and Central Africa business.

Chung has over 20 years’ experience in leadership and knowledge of the technology industry. He is the immediate former General Manager of LG washing machine, sales team and was based in South Korea.

“We are delighted to welcome Mr Chung to Kenya and look forward to using the breadth and depth of his experience to take our business to the next stage,” said LG President Middle East and Africa, Kevin Cha. Chung replaces Tae-ick Son who has been at the helm since 2014.

 He now takes up a bigger role in West Africa. He said: “I am excited to be on board and part of the great team that will take LG business in the East and Central Africa region to the next level.”
