Raila, Kalonzo meet Chinese investors in Nairobi's Karen

NAIROBI, KENYA: Wiper Democratic Movement Leader Hon Kalonzo Musyoka last night received a delegation of Chinese investors who have visited the country to scout for prospects of investment.
Kalonzo is the Honorary Chairman of World Eminent Chinese Businessmen Association (WECBA), a group of businessmen with diverse investments across the globe.
The Wiper leader received the delegation at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport and later hosted them for a dinner at his residence in Karen where he was joined by other Leaders including CORD leader Raila Odinga and his Wife Ida, Sen. Mutula Kilonzo Junior, Hon. Robert Mbui and Hon. Peter Mathuki.
The team led by Mr. Lu Junqing is in the country for three days where they will hold various meeting with potential partners in different fields including real estate, Agriculture trade, Energy and Mining and steel production among others.

WECBA through the China-Africa Hope project, the philanthropist wing of the organization has donated and built 20 schools to African 10, of which were donated to Kenya through Kalonzo Musyoka Foundation (KMF) in 2011.
The schools four in Mwingi and six in Kisii County have greatly improved the education standards of the areas mentioned.
The China- Africa Hope project Secretary General Ms Jenniffer Lu visited and toured the schools last week accompanied by the KMF patron Kalonzo Musyoka.
During the Dinner, the Two opposition leaders extended their warm welcome to the Billionaire delegation to Kenya which will be visiting the Maasai Mara today to witness seventh wonder of the world; the wild beast migration.
The leaders assured the delegation of a conducive investment environment, saying Kenya needs investors to curb the unemployment.
“Kenya is the gateway to East African Market so when you invest your money in this country, you are assured of an East Afrcan Market, so please come and set your headquarters in this great country” said Kalonzo
“Your visit cannot have come at a better time, as a country we need massive investment to boot the economy and create employment” said Raila.
The delegation is also expected to visit South Africa, Namibia, Zambia and the United Arab Emirates in this second leg of their African visit dubbed “the Second Entrepreneurs Charity Journey to Africa”.
