Samsung and Multichoice Kenya boost digital TV migration

Nairobi; Kenya: Samsung Electronics has partnered with Multichoice Kenya to boost digital migration which will see Samsung television buyers get a free satellite decoder with purchase of a TV set.

Samsung General Manager Consumer Electronics Mr Allan Oyier said the partnership was intended at connecting more Kenyans to the digital entertainment world to access multiple options from television viewing.

“By going digital, consumers will able to watch multiple channels in digital quality from DSTV or GOtv decoders,”

The bundled offer will cost Sh68million and comes with fully installed and activated decoder from Multichoice Kenya with one month free subscription with purchase of every Samsung LED or plasma TV in what is being dubbed as the deal of the season.

Oyier said the Samsung TV brands were tailored for the African market combining triple protector, amazing picture quality and energy saving technology.

Multichoice Kenya general manager Danny Mucira encouraged Kenyans to take advantage of the offer and embrace digital migration to enjoy quality viewership and with a wide variety of educative and entertaining programming.
