What exactly is the worth of a wife?
I ask this question because I was completely baffled when about a week ago male MPs used their numerical advantage to defeat a clause that sought to have matrimonial property shared equally between a husband and wife upon dissolution of a marriage.

The ‘modern’ Kenyan man
Yes, the modern woman is an enigma; no one really knows how to handle her with all her rights and career power. But it is the modern man who is even more of a mystery.

Bad things only happen to good girls
There are a lot of things I do not understand. For instance, I do not understand why I am addicted to boiled maize; I also do not understand why any woman should still be walking around in bolero coat in 2013.

Things every woman should learn before turning 30
When you are a young girl, you can get away with anything; from unforgivable fashion crimes, to stupid and even often bad choices. But when you become a woman of a certain age, there are things you have no business getting caught up in.

Sometimes love just ain’t enough
I was never the best at physics (I could not do it to save my life). I was that type who got carried away with the Arts and only ended up doing physics because I misguidedly assumed that because my father was a physicist, physics somehow flowed in my veins, and oh wasn’t I shocked.

Once a man-child, always one
The other day, I was with a group of girlfriends and the topic of the man-child came up. Interestingly enough, everyone seemed to have a story to tell about their encounter with one; that is how common they have become.

Of women who lose their identity in the name of love
Love is a wonderful thing. When one is in love, everything looks like rainbows and butterflies, and I do agree it is something to be celebrated, but sometimes women take the “I got a man” thing too far.

Men should get to the kitchen and feel the heat too
The other day, I was hanging out with a group of friends and out of nowhere, the topic of women and domestication came up. One of my good male friends said he would not marry the lady he was currently dating. Her unforgivable crime was that she could not cook anything, let alone boil water to save her life.
