Police recover stolen goods worth millions, arrest three suspects

Police in Trans Mara West sub-county, Narok County have recovered stolen goods worth millions and arrested three suspects.

Area Sub County Police Commander Abdullahi Dahir told Journalists that the suspects will be arraigned in court tomorrow.

According to Dahir, the arrest is a major breakthrough for the law enforcers in their quest to end crime in the region.

In the last couple of months, several burglary cases have been reported with residents losing items from businesses and households.

“Police officers have managed to arrest key suspects who were in possession of mobile phones, television sets, computers, generators and sound systems among other items stolen from dealer shops and households in Kilgoris Town,” said Dahir.

Dahir said that police have launched a manhunt for one other suspect who is still at large and asked the public to come and identify the stolen goods at Kilgoris Police Station.

Yassin Hussein, a phone dealer in Kilgoris town said that he had lost phones worth Sh250,000 during a burglary incident in his shop last month, and that the police had managed to recover phones worth Sh95,000.

Hussein believed that once all the criminals involved in the syndicate are arrested, they will help in the recovery of all the items stolen in the various shops and homes.
