Kisii Senior Resident Magistrate S.K. Onjoro has released 13 suspects that had been arrested over examination malpractices.

Kisii Senior Resident Magistrate S.K. Onjoro has released 13 suspects that had been arrested over examination malpractices.

The suspects were arrested on Tuesday morning at Milimani Ramasha Academy by detectives from Kisii Central Police.

Among the 13 charged are the School Director Charles Osoro, an alleged Deputy Principal, the Center Supervisor and a cook at the school.

The four were charged with aiding impersonation at the school and were each released on a cash bail of Sh 40, 000 or a bond of Sh 100, 000 with a similar surety.

The 11 alleged impersonators faced charges of impersonation contrary to section 31(a) of the Kenya National Examination number 29 of 2012.

They were released on a cash bail Sh 20,000 and bond of Sh 50,000 with a similar surety.

The Magistrate also ordered that they report at the Kisii Central SCIO offices every Saturday.

Onjoro also ordered those who could have not raised the bail and bond terms to be given police escort to the examination center.
