Tropics business summit has unveiled winners of change-makers awards 2019 with Kenyan Cedrick Agala Todwell booking a slot among dignitaries which include presidents and successful businessmen.

Cedrick Agala Todwell emerged winner in the agribusiness category

Paul Kagame of Rwanda emerged as president of the year while Nigeria businessman Tony Elumelu emerged as the tropics changemaker of the year.

South Africa’s Fikile Mbalula emerged as the minister of the year while Her Majesty Queen Phyllis Malope Mondlane was named most distinguished woman of the year.

The Tropics Changemakers laureates by #TropicsMagazine and sponsored by Philani Development Centre are a collection of the most effective business and social entrepreneurs on the planet.

The Tropics Changemakers Awards, are a set of awards that recognizes the exceptional efforts of inspiring leaders, and innovative initiatives and partnerships across key business sectors driving the African economies to prosperity.

Kenya’s Cedrick Todwell is a social entrepreneur and Global Commercial Director of Sistema.Bio.

Sistema.bio has supplied more than 2000 Hybrid Reactor biodigesters to farmers between 2017-2018, giving access to clean cooking energy to thousands of consumers in Meru, Kiambu and Kericho counties.
