Order comes two days after he suspended Finance and Economic Planning CEC

Kajiado Governor Joseph ole Lenku (pictured) has ordered an investigation into how contractors and suppliers have remained unpaid for work done worth millions of shillings in successive financial years.

A probe committee he formed Thursday has been ordered to review operations of the Finance and Procurement departments as well as the IFMIS section and recommend whether the existing system requires a re-organisation.

The team will also review and recommend the fastest way to settle the skyrocketing bills.
