Kitutu Chache South MP Richard Onyonka has parted ways with Deputy President William Ruto.
Onyonka, who has been the Tanga Tanga Movement Chairman in Kisii County, said his supporters were against any political dalliance with the DP.
Speaking to Saturday Standard in his Kisii home, the Ford-Kenya deputy party leader said he was not happy with the manner the DP was attacking ODM leader Raila Odinga.
Onyonka said Raila has played a major role in the country’s liberation and should be respected and that it was disturbing that some “political greenhorns” associated with the DP are abusing him.
“Let it be known from today that I am no longer working with the Deputy President since I have found out that our political destinations were far apart and that we are politically incompatible,” he said.
He said it was a political liability to be allied to the DP.
Onyonka said Jubilee had run down the economy and claimed most of its projects are 70 per cent incomplete due to rampant corruption involving senior people in government.
He defended his decision to change political parties prior to every election, saying he was forced to do so after differing with the party leadership for fear that he would be rigged out in nominations.
