The main suspect in the murder of Muranga GK Prison warder Pauline Wangari has reportedly told investigators that he stabbed the victim's body several times to conceal evidence after strangling her to death.
In the chilling confession, Joseph Ochieng reportedly told detectives that he strangled Ms Wangari to death before stabbing her lifeless body with a kitchen knife to create the impression that Wangari had killed herself.
“Out of fear after Ms Wangari collapsed, the suspect said he took a kitchen knife and stabbed her body in the neck, abdomen, head and chest before putting the knife in her hands to make it look like she (Wangari) had killed herself,” a DCI officer who sought anonymity told Citizen.

Ochieng' had travelled from his rural home in Kisumu to Nairobi before heading to Muranga on the fateful day to meet Wangari for the first time.
Ochieng' is said to be the suspect who was captured on CCTV cameras entering Wangari’s house at 9 pm on Monday, and exiting at 3 am on Tuesday.
Ochieng was arrested at Kipsitet area in Kericho County on Thursday evening headed to Kisumu after being traced through his phone signal.
The suspect was in a Kisumu-bound Mercedes Benz car with two other occupants, a man and a woman who were also arrested.
