The battle for a nomination slot in the Nyamira County Assembly took a new twist yesterday after Speaker Moffat Teya ordered the two warring MCAs to stay away from the House until the matter is resolved.
He said the Assembly’s legal team will have to interpret the circumstances surrounding the battle between Ms Damarice Mouni and Ms Irene Nyakerario, who are entangled in a legal tussle over who is the bonafide Orange Democratic Movement nominee.
Nyakerario had moved to court to claim the nomination slot but before the matter was heard and determined, Mouni also moved to the Court of Appeal to have the issue reviewed.
