Business at the County Assembly was temporarily interrupted on Wednesday by youth protesting against the ouster of nominated MCA Damaris Mouni.
Ms Mouni has been battling a court case filed against her by Irene Nyakerario, who claimed she was edged out yet she was the right beneficiary.
The assembly leadership has allowed Ms Nyakerario to assume the position.
Chaos erupted after the youth chanting pro-Mouni slogans staged a demonstration in the precincts of the assembly.
Mouni was later allowed to access the assembly but was ushered to the public gallery as Nyakerario occupied her space in the debating chambers.
ODM leadership in Nyamira joined the youth in protesting against the assembly's move to oust Mouni before the court battle is concluded.
Speaker Moffat Teya said the decision to lock Mouni outside the House was informed by a court order served to the assembly requiring Ms Nyakerario to be sworn as the bona fide nominated MCA.
"Assembly is a house of law and order and we don't do anything outside the legal provisions," Mr Teya said.
