The Teachers Service Commission has transferred St Cecilia Nangina Girl’s Principal Phinorah Buyengo to St Alberts Ulanda Girls in Migori.

Buyengo had served for eight years after joining the school in 2011.

She helped Nangina remain one of the best performing girl’s schools in Busia County.

In the 2018 KCSE exam results, Nangina, an extra county school, got 85 direct university entries.

“I am happy to have helped the school produce good results, I am looking forward to working in another school,” she said.

Busia was among counties that did not record grade ‘A’.

Butula MP Joseph Oyula wondered why Busia, known to be home of academic giants, has continued to produce low results in KCSE and KCPE.

“As elected leaders we have an obligation of ensuring the county produces good results in national exam,” said Oyula.
