KDF soldiers kill 10 Al-Shabaab militants in Lamu

10 Al-Shabaab militants were Monday morning killed by Kenya Defense Forces (KDF) soldiers operating in Lamu County. 
 

The soldiers launched an attack on an Al-Shabaab hideout at around 6:45a.m in Taksile, North of Pangaduo in Lamu. 
 
The KDF soldiers also managed to recover weapons among them seven AK 47 rifles and assorted rounds of ammunition. 
 
According to a statement sent to newsrooms, three KDF soldiers were injured after sustaining bullet wounds. 
 
The attack on an Al-Shabaab hideout comes just days after President Uhuru said that his government shall not let up on the war against terrorists until perpetrators are apprehended. 
 
The KDF soldiers have called upon locals to assist in weeding out lurking terror elements in their midst as the wounded terrorists may seek assistance from them.
