Kipkelion West MP Hillary Kosgei (pictured) has called for transfer of Environment Cabinet Secretary Keriako Tobiko over claims of meddling in Mau Forest restoration. The MP said Mr Tobiko who hails from Narok, was using local leaders to instigate the eviction of settlers in the water tower.

“We know Tobiko is an interested party especially because he comes from Narok and immediately he got into the ministry he engineered the removal of settlers," he said.

Mr Kosgei was speaking at Lesirwa Day Secondary School during prize giving day yesterday. Narok County Commissioner George Natembeya announced that the second phase of eviction is targeting 40,000 people.
