Erastus Muriuki was sworn in on Thursday as the new Ruguru MCA. Muriuki won a by-election last month on a Jubilee ticket, edging out Maendeleo Chap Chap’s James Ndegwa.

After taking his oath in the presence of Speaker John Kaguchia, Muriuki held a press briefing where he thanked the voters and called for reconciliation.
