Girona FC striker Michael Olunga in action in a past La Liga match

On-loan Michael Olunga seeks to stay at Girona FC after his hat trick that helped the Spanish club thrash Las Palmas 6-0 in Spanish La Liga match.

The former Gor Mahia Striker believes Girona is a great club that plays in the best league in the world and he would wish for an agreement to remain part of the club.

The 23-year-old joined Girona on loan from Chinese side Guizhou Hengfeng Zhicheng on a temporary agreement on deadline day. Olunga made his debut for the club against Sevilla in September to become the second player from Kenya and East Africa at large to play in the Primera Division after McDonald Mariga who is also the younger brother to Victor Wanyama of Spurs.

Olunga made history as the first and only Kenyan player to score in Spanish La Liga and the first Girona player to score a hat trick for the club. He’ll be hoping to continue with his fine form to impress his coach and fans and earn a place in the first team.
