Police in Laare, Igembe North sub-county, yesterday uprooted bhang worth Sh500,000 from a farm.

Led by Deputy County Commissioner Malack Namae, the officers stormed the farm after getting a tip-off from a local assistant chief.

Addressing journalists afterwards, Mr Namae said the uprooting of the crop was in line with a campaign dubbed 'Rapid Results Initiative', which aims to eradicate bhang, illicit liquor, and other drugs from the sub-county.
