Young Kenyan artist's models earn a space at Easy Coach's souvenir shelves

On October 28, pictures of Patrick Juma a young man who had made models of Easy Coach buses with his artistic hands and his story went viral on social media.

Even though he was trending, Juma From Butula in Busia did not have a clue about it.

With a basic phone that goes off anytime, he has never been to Nairobi before and doesn't use social media.

The post which asked Kenyans on social media to share widely finally bore fruits.

Here are photos from the post;

His Headmaster saw the photos and informed him. Juma was skeptical and wasn't too sure if "those Nairobi people" calling him through his brothers' phone were genuine.

He said he would only come to Nairobi if accompanied by his cousin who has been to the big city before.

On Thursday, November 2, he boarded the 7 pm bus with his cousin to meet the Easy Coach team in Nairobi and arrived at around half past four in the morning.

He did not leave his model buses behind. Although he was tired from the journey, he was anxious.

When the Customer Care Manager at the Company Madame Caroline Kamene Kisila reported to work at 6:00 am, she met the elated young man.

Madame Kamene says; "It is a long time since I saw someone this happy. I could tell that never in his wildest dreams did the young man imagine he would be in such a place at such a time"

"One of the buses will be a souvenir at the MD's suite", she added.

She posed for photos with the young artist and his model bus.
