Speaker Justin Muturi has revoked the appointment of MP John Mbadi (above) as the Minority Leader in the National Assembly.

Mr Muturi on Thursday cited a flawed process by the National Super Alliance in picking Mr Mbadi to the House position and directed the coalition to submit names afresh when Parliament resumes its sittings in November.

Standing Order 20(4) requires that such appointment be communicated to the Speaker by the whip or whip designate and should be accompanied by the minutes of the parliamentary group meeting that made the decision.

Mbadi has been discharging his duties as the leader of the minority camp in the National Assembly.
