A dentist has sued a German national alleging the foreigner has refused to pay him Sh162,000 in arrears after he performed surgery on him in 2012.

Samier Muravej Thursday accused Langhardt Udo of defaulting on service and treatment fees as agreed in the initial stages of their consultation.

Dr Muravej, who runs The Smile Dental Clinic, said he had performed several procedures including extraction and denture on Mr Udo but he failed to pay the outstanding balance of Sh32,000 that accrued to Sh130,000 in interest.

In his defence, Udo said he had refused to pay the Sh32,000 because the doctor had not completed his treatment as agreed. He said he could not bite food properly and had difficulties chewing.

Udo said the two had agreed that the dental implant would cost Sh352,000 exclusive of consultation charges and paid Sh1,000 in consultation fees.

He said on April 17, 2012, the doctor extracted his teeth and carried out other treatment.
